Welcome to MIND GAMES

Mind Games is my attemp to teach some basic concepts in 2D Game Programming.

The tutorials to the right are aimed towards the beginner game programmer. Remeber that they are very basic and from them alone you will and will not be able to create a game. My goal is to teach you the basic frame work needed to get started on creating a game in 2D. Many times as coders we want to step right in and stroke away at the keyboard right towards the drawing code. I hope to teach you what makes your images work and show up the way they do. I will cover very minimal collision and A/I code in the tutorials.

How it works:
All the tutorials start with a lesson about what you will learn. Then they proceed to show you exactly what code will be added and where. Followed by an explaination of the code you just wrote. At the end i will have a link to the complete code wich will open in a seperate page in case you want to print it or follow it as you read the tutorials.

Disclaimer:
The tutorials on this page might not be the best or even the correct way to program games. I created them from the knowledge gained on my own journey of learning game programming. I know it's problably a bad habit, but I usually go with what works and not on how clean my code is. Feel free to contact me if you see any errors in grammer or code.
